Altrix Variation Readiness for WooCommerce helps store administrators review common variation-readiness conditions without automatically editing product data.
The free plugin checks every WooCommerce variation for:
- Missing SKU – blocking issue
- Missing effective price – blocking issue
- No usable variation or parent image – blocking issue
- Parent-product image fallback – warning
It also includes:
- Sequential AJAX batch scanning
- One automatic retry after a temporary batch failure
- 30-second request timeout
- Catalog-count consistency guard during a scan
- Search by product, SKU, attributes, or IDs
- Status and issue filters
- Browser-side result pagination
- WooCommerce HPOS compatibility declaration
- WordPress, WooCommerce, and PHP compatibility information
The scanner is read-only. It does not automatically change products, create custom database tables, collect customer/order data for the report, or send store data to Altrix Web or another external service.
A separate commercial edition from Altrix Web provides additional reporting and advanced checks. The free plugin contains no locked premium code and remains fully functional for all features listed above.
Privacy
The scanner reads product and variation data needed for the readiness report. It does not create custom database tables, transmit store data to Altrix Web, or persist scan results after the current browser page is reloaded.
Installation
- Install and activate WooCommerce.
- Install and activate Altrix Variation Readiness for WooCommerce.
- Go to WooCommerce > Variation Readiness.
- Choose a batch size. 100 is recommended for most stores.
- Click Start Scan.
- Review the summary and result table.
- Use Edit Product to make corrections manually in WooCommerce.
- Run a fresh scan after corrections.

Does the plugin edit WooCommerce products?

No. Scanning and reporting are read-only. The Edit Product link opens the normal WooCommerce product editor, where any changes are made manually by an authorized administrator.

What is a blocking issue?

The free scanner treats a missing SKU, missing effective price, or no usable variation/parent image as a blocking readiness issue.

Why is parent image fallback only a warning?

A variation can intentionally use its parent product image. The plugin reports this for review rather than treating it as an error.

Does the plugin scan only a limited number of variations?

No. The selected batch size controls how many variations are processed per AJAX request; it is not a total usage limit. The scanner continues through the available variation catalog.

Does the plugin send my store data to Altrix Web?

No. The free plugin makes no external service request for scanning and does not transmit store data to Altrix Web.

Is there a commercial edition?

Yes. A separate commercial edition from Altrix Web adds advanced attribute validation, stock warnings, and CSV reporting. The commercial code is not included or locked inside this free plugin.
