It does nothing until you enter a site\nkey from your DevTet dashboard.<\/p>\n\n<h4>Features<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Logs WordPress core updates automatically<\/li>\n<li>Logs plugin updates (single and bulk) with the new version<\/li>\n<li>Logs theme updates with the new version<\/li>\n<li>Reports pending core\/plugin\/theme updates so your DevTet dashboard shows which sites need attention<\/li>\n<li>No manual work \u2014 updates appear in your DevTet client report<\/li>\n<li>Lightweight: an update sends immediately; pending updates sync once a day<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3>External services<\/h3>\n\n<p>This plugin connects to the DevTet API (https:\/\/devtet.com) to record the\nupdates you perform on this site.<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>What is sent:<\/strong> (1) when you update something \u2014 the type of update (core,\nplugin or theme), the name and new version of the updated item(s), and the\ntimestamp; (2) once a day \u2014 a list of installed plugins and themes with their\ncurrent and latest available versions, plus the WordPress core version, so\nDevTet can show which updates are pending.<\/li>\n<li><strong>When it is sent:<\/strong> update events on completion; the daily list on a\nscheduled job. Both only if you have entered a DevTet endpoint URL and site\nkey on the Settings \u2192 DevTet Monitor screen. Nothing is sent before that.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Where it is sent:<\/strong> the endpoint URL you configure, which points to the\nDevTet API (by default https:\/\/devtet.com\/api\/v1\/wp\/events, and the matching\nhttps:\/\/devtet.com\/api\/v1\/wp\/health for the daily list).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>No personal data about site visitors is collected or sent.<\/p>\n\n<p>By using this plugin with a DevTet account you agree to the DevTet Terms of\nService (https:\/\/devtet.com\/legal\/terms) and Privacy Policy\n(https:\/\/devtet.com\/legal\/privacy).<\/p>\n\n<!--section=installation-->\n<ol>\n<li>In DevTet, open the monitor for this site and click \"Connect WordPress\".<\/li>\n<li>Copy the Endpoint URL and Site key shown there.<\/li>\n<li>Install and activate this plugin on the WordPress site.<\/li>\n<li>Go to Settings \u2192 DevTet Monitor, paste the Endpoint URL and Site key, and save.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p>That's it. This plugin only sends update data to your DevTet account and does nothing\nwithout a site key from your DevTet dashboard.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"does%20it%20slow%20down%20my%20site%3F\"><h3>Does it slow down my site?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. It sends an update event when an update finishes, and syncs a list of\npending updates once a day via WP-Cron. It adds no front-end code.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"what%20data%20leaves%20my%20site%3F\"><h3>What data leaves my site?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>The updates you perform (type, name, new version, time), and once a day a list\nof installed plugins\/themes with their versions so DevTet can show pending\nupdates. No visitor data and no content. See the \"External services\" section.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"can%20i%20edit%20or%20delete%20an%20auto-logged%20update%3F\"><h3>Can I edit or delete an auto-logged update?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes. Every entry it creates is a normal maintenance-log entry in DevTet that you\ncan edit, retime, hide from a report, or delete.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"i%20updated%20something%20but%20nothing%20appeared%20in%20devtet.\"><h3>I updated something but nothing appeared in DevTet.<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Check that the Endpoint URL and Site key are saved under Settings \u2192 DevTet\nMonitor, and that your host allows outbound HTTPS requests (some hosts block\nthem).
